St. Louis times

It’s Sunday morning, and soon I will be celebrating the last Christmas from 2014 with Mike’s family. It sounds a bit crazy, but you gotta do what you gotta do to get the whole family together.

It’s a funny thing, but my proudest moments overlap with many of my favorite memories of 2014. Even so, I’m going to start from the beginning of 2014 to show you some of the best moments.

March 2014: Attaining my first “real” job.

After a long stint of underemployment, late March finally brought a secure position in St. Louis. It was the first step taken to Mike and I finally being able to build our lives together, and it came with a pay increase.

May 2014: Having my own place again.

Along with underemployment came crashing on a friend’s couch for seven months. In late May, I was finally able to move to St. Louis into an apartment of my own.

Sept 2014: First big PR moment of my career.

In September, I pitched a reporter to cover my company and she agreed. Sometime in Spring 2015, Entrepreneur magazine will publish an article about my company, and it will be AWESOME.

October 2014: Second big PR moment of my career.

Not long after my first PR success, I pitched a New York Times reporter about how our company was using content marketing, and they decided to include us in a story. That story was published in late December. For me, it’s a huge deal. For others… Not so much.

There you have it! Those are my proudest moments of 2014. I cannot wait to see what 2015 has in store, but I know it’s going to be amazing. What were your proudest moments of last year?

  2. Sounds like you had an amazing year! Congrats on getting engaged!! I’m playing the waiting game myself with my SO but I have plenty of things to work on in my life in the meantime. Getting positive feedback from your pitches sounds super exciting. Please share when the articles are published :) I wish you all the best in 2015.

    1. Thank you! It was a big year, and I’m hoping 2015 will be even bigger! I’m sure we’ll both see exciting things happen in 2015.

Tell me what you think!
